My B.F. and I went for a ride in the woods the other day and we drove past a cabin that had a dog out front of it. This was the biggest dog Ive ever seen in my life, it looked like it had to have been waaaay over 100 lbs although it was hard to tell with all the hair. It was all white with a massive head and it looked like it had dreadlocks! By far the most unusual looking dog Ive ever seen. Any clue what it might have been?

Hey thanks.. I looked up the Komondor for more pics and Im pretty sure thats what it is, although this one wasnt groomed as 'pretty', it had more of a rugged manly look. Which makes sense for this neck of the woods...

:o....my poor obsessive compulsive little mind can't even FATHOM living with that dog....I'd be chasing the poor thing with a comb and detangler 24/7........geez...I brush my BOXERS twice a week because I think they look 'ruffled'

It's cording... basically managed mats. Believe it or not, there's a LOT of work in keeping a coat like that. It doesn't just happen that way, though it looks kind of like neglect. Poodles can be corded, too, but you very seldom see it. I think it's fascinating, but I don't have the discipline to do it and I'm also somewhat compulsive. I like my dogs fluffed, not lumpy.

Still, I think it's awesome and wish I had the self discipline to do it.

oh I have nothing against cording. That Komondor, and the poodle in your picture are very pretty. But the dog Kat showed looks like it ran into those twisty brushing arms in a carwash. and dried that way...the head fur makes me think he had his head out the window on the drive home...
