ESSlover Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but I wanted to share this poor little girl... Poor Princess was found alone and abandoned in the middle of the night huddled in the bushes in a downtown are near a college campus. She was hardly recognizable as a dog and could barely open her eyes because of the horrible case of mange. The young lady that found her could not have animals in her apartment, so she took her to the local animal shelter. She kept in touch with the shelter and found that nobody claimed her. Her cage was being poorly kept and she was not being fed enough. That is when the young lady decided that she had to get the poor baby out of there. She made contact with a friend that had volunteered with a rescue group. That is how she came to us. Although Princess was in a lot of pain when she arrived, her spirit was not hurt. Her tail still wagged and she had plenty of kisses to go around. Her treatment has begun and Princess is looking and feeling much better... Thanks to AFH's Brownie Fund, we were able to help Princess. If you would like to help Princess and others like her, donations can be sent to: AFH - Brownie's Fund, PO Box 222801, Chantilly, VA 20153. I hope that she gets her forever home asap! Note: Edited to put warning after R2 complained to me :P Quote

Cairn6 Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 It always breaks my heart and makes me cry whenever I hear that through it all they are still wagging their little tails. What wonderful beings they are? I know I am preaching to the choir. Quote
