ESSlover Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Hey guys! We are having a picnic tomarrow w/ 2 of my friends and their dogs. I wanted to make a doggie cake to bring along, does this recipie seem ok/healthy-ish? Ingredients: 1 cup white or whole wheat flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 cup peanut butter 1/4 cup cooking oil 1 cup shredded carrots 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/3 cup honey (optional) 1 egg Mix the dry ingredients. Add the remaining ingredients and mix quickly. Bake in a greased ring mold at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. You may frost this cake with low fat cottage cheese and decorate with some carrot pieces. Store in the refrigerator. (Dogs will eat this without the honey added) Thanks! Quote
Sharpeigirl Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 ESS that sounds good enough for a person to eat   Quote
DogPaddle Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Yes sounds good as an occasional doggy/people treat. Sounds like a nice idea, have fun. Quote
imported_Kat Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 sounds like a great idea. I have a recipe somewhere (I think in N.Ireland!) for liver cake which all dogs love. I haven't seen one refuse it yet. Have fun with your picnic and don't forget the camera! Quote
