mouseatthebusstop Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Tigger had her first injection (shot) last Thursday Later when she was asleep she twitched a bit. Sunday morning she was her normal self by 11 am all she wanted to do was sleep she would not eat or drink all day she had a slight tempature. We stayed up with her all night. We took her to the vets when they opened at 8.30 monday she was very hot and had no interest in anything our normal vet was on holiday one of the others looked at her -took her tempature 106 she called another vet in for a second opinion gave her two injections and said if she goes any worse bring her back we will keep her in - by 12 o.clock she was awake and hungery she started to pick up then -we had to take her back to the vet again the next morning she was back to normal and enjoying looking around at the other animals waiting in the vets- it was very worrying anyone else expreance (sp) this Quote
imported_Kat Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Mouse did the vet say that it was a reaction to the vaccine? Usually a severe reaction to a vaccine occurs within 24 hours of the pup having the vaccine. Its possible that she may have picked up something else, but i'm glad that shes doing better now. Quote
mouseatthebusstop Posted September 17, 2004 Author Posted September 17, 2004 the vet just said it could have been a reaction she is back to normal now you would not think she had been ill at all Quote
