MajiesMom Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 I started Grooming School on Tuesday. I am having so much fun and learning a lot! Tomorrow we are going on a field trip LOL to a dog show. I have before and after pictures. So far I have done simple things like bath, brush, nails, ears, shave rectum area and groin, do the pads of the feet - we learnt a really cool trick with the feet! and trim furnishings/feathers and feet. When I do a fancy poodle clip or something I'll share but here are the dogs I have done so far: Tuesday Sept 7th - First day I did a GSD (would you believe it! :D ) BEFORE AFTER Wednesday Sept 8th - Sheltie BEFORE AFTER Thursday Sept 9th - Aussie Shepherd BEFORE AFTER Quote

He looked at the camera and smiled! LOL The GSD smiled too after :D if I were them I would be happy because I took a pound of dead hair out of them and made them squeaky-clean! They felt so good after to touch because they were soft and silky and light and they smelt nice. :) Thanks guys! Maybe I will take pics at the dog show tomorrow and post them. :wink: Quote

When I bath and groom Meg normally it would take very little time, but when it comes to Crufts and doggies have to be looking their best for the camera, it takes me a ful day to bath her , blow dry her properly, strip, groom and trim :lol: Quote

MajiesMom Posted September 10, 2004 Author Posted September 10, 2004 Thanks so much guys!!!!!! :) I didn't take pictures today at the show (too much excitment :) ) BUT I'm going to the show again tomorrow with a coworker. HF I'll get some Poodle shots for you. My heart melted over a toy poodle today but there were a lot of Standards there. Oh the Standard Poodle took first and the Minature Poodle took second in their group. Newfiesmom you would have been proud the Newfie took first in his group over a really popular Sibe too. They were all nice dogs in his group so it was a big win. :wallbash: ahh I should have took pictures for you guys! Tomorrow I will have the pics, promise. Quote
