This thread is going to make some people snicker and snort for sure, this is because it's all about names you use instead of saying "I'm going to go pick up my dog's poop!"

A few friends were hanging out with Kevin and I who were dog owners and we all realized we all call picking up poop different things. For instance, Kevin and I call it "poo patrol". Or if some one is over and we don't want to embarass the other too much we just say "patrol".

A friend calls it "taking care of business" while another simply calls it "pooper scoopering". Then one of our male friends said that what he calls it is, "Shirley, pick up the dog shit!!" And his wife, Shirley said she calls it, "No, do it yourself, shithead!!"

Sorry if the language was inappropriate, but Kevin and I thought it was hilarious and wanted to share.

What do you all call picking up your dog's poop?

I call it "HEY KIDS! You have some work to do!" Then I point at the back door and out the go :-)

Hubby calls it mowing the lawn....cause that's how he does it...ugh

well, I dont do it. there is an area of my yard that is "overgrown" (deliberatley) and thats where they go. not offensive to anyone, and it just mushes into the lawn and needs a little extra cutting...

there are bushes, and downed trees there. it looks lilke a wild area...

At home, we would "pooper scoop" the yard when we had two dogs, especially since Bandit, the old man, would go as close to the house and porch as possible. Now, with just Sasha left, we don't do it because she goes to the very back property line anyway.

HERE, we almost made up shirts in the form of jerseys that said "Poop Patrol" like we were a team. It feels like it, when we spend the first 4-6 hours of our days cleaning up BIG kitty poo. Plus goat, pig, llama, sheep, deer and bear poop. Just FYI, bear poop is the most disgusting of all ;)

Oh yeah, we nixed the shirt idea... our supervisors didn't think it was very professional

Speaking of making turd logos, on clinic posting board at my work is a flyer for a couple of kids who are offering 'lawn cleaning' services. They call themselves the "Pooper Troopers", quite amusing. I think that the funniest part of the whole thing really, is that the community I live in is apparently affluent enough to pay someone else to pick up their own dogs' turds! :D

I usually say, 'time to scoop some poops' and my dogs get all excited and dance around me as I'm heading out the door. Jesse always prances beside me as I go to the shed for the shovel, he thinks that is his job, escorting me and all.

Okay, I e-mailed my sister (who lives in Sweden) and asked her what she called picking up her doggies poops - she has an Airedale Terrier and a Flat-coated Retriever. She told me that she calls it, "doing the deed". I always used that expression for some thing toooootally different.
