DogPaddle Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Seems good to me. Nice size for your dog. Just an aside: I never left food in the crate with my boys and rarely left water - didn't want them to eat/drink it all out of boredom early in their stay and be left crossing their legs. If I was going to be gone over 4 hours I'd leave a bit of water in a crate bowl (mounts on side of crate so can't be tipped.) Quote
Jetta_Pup Posted July 20, 2004 Author Posted July 20, 2004 ok i was wondering about the food thing and water thing. i HAVE to get the water that mounts on the side i tried to leave her in it over night and she layed in her water..LOL i been having trouble w/ the potty training at night thats why i wanted to leave her in it but she cried and i coudnt do it..LOL try again tonight the collar yeah i usually dont leave her collar on her while shes even inside. we had just came in and i stuck her in there for her photo shoot...LOL Quote
Carolk9s Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Do you have Jetta's crate beside your bed? It may help to do so, that way, if she cries, you can reach down and touch her through the crate. You can probably tell the difference between her "poor little me let me outta hear' cry and the 'I gotta go NOW' cry. Maybe just being near you will help her settle. Give it time but be CONSISTANT. If you let her out once or twice for crying, she will not only continue to cry, but will escalate the crying until you give in. Quote
