Aroura Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 For years I've been wanting a Neopolitan Mastiff. At long last I came to the conclusion that they were too big and heavy boned for me - being someone who loves long walks and doing agility with my dogs. But I've had a relapse!!! I went to the shops yesterday and guess what? There was a Neo tied up out the front!!! :o :o :o How unfair to me to have to see that lovable dog  Now I want one more than ever. I walked up and patted it, it had beautiful grey eyes and was so placid, it snuggled right in and drooled all over me, saturating my pants and making my hands all slimy. I'm in love. One day, I will own one of my own  Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I love the looks of the Neo's but there is one HUGE turn off. The Drool factor. Beaux is a drooler and man when he shakes his head I'm cleaning walls. Quote
__crazy_canine__ Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I love Neos! All those wrinkles and folds and the saggy face! Drool isnt all that bad for such a cute dog!!! Aroura go get a Neo, you know you NEED one!  I want to own a Neo one day too... *sigh* Quote
Aroura Posted July 19, 2004 Author Posted July 19, 2004 DON'T ENCOURAGE ME!!!!   Thats the last thing I need!!!!! lol, I just can't handle the yerning! I told Josh about it, I told him that one day when we are rich and live in a mansion and need a good guard dog I will get one  This dog show I'm going to when I get my pup will be a challenge for me  Quote
Malamum Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 I saw the Neo's at the Easter Show and they are absolutley gorgeous. I don't blame you for wanting one. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004   Neos are gorgous but DEFFENLTY not the dog for me! I HATE drool. Well not HAte, but I hate THAT much drool  So if you're willing to put up with your very own drool factory I say go for it when you're ready  Quote
Aroura Posted July 19, 2004 Author Posted July 19, 2004 Well its a good thing then that drool doesn't phase me. I actually find it very lovable! Lily used to drool everywhere, I loved it. Call me crazy, each to their own :-?  Quote
pitbullEmily Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 AP had a feature on them during the broadcast of the Harrisburg Dog Show the other night (they just got added to AKC?) all I can say is YIKES!!! those are drooly dog. The breeder said they were bred to look that way to scare people off.     Quote
