CKMILK Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 well kinda off subject but the early spring it was warm and i saw a little black dog in a truck parked at walmart. he was really hot panting. window was only cracked a little. i was mad  i went in and they called dog warden. when we when up to the pound just the other day to pick out our puppy i told them how i end up seeing this way too much. she ended up handing me a whole stack of flyers to put on there windows and said call us and we will be out there. people can be so d#$% stupid sometimes. i would like to see how long they could last in a car with the window cracked on a hot day. someone please tell them "if your going to walmart dont take fido"!! well sorry it just makes me mad!! bk_blue Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Agree, CK, it makes me mad too. A dog can die in five minutes in a hot car. My uncle had a friend who had a Dobermann. They had just been to the shops, it was a stinker of a day (ie 35-40C) and she took five or so minutes to unload the groceries; by the time she got back to the car to let her dog out he was dead. It's freezing here though, being in the middle of winter. I just wish it would rain more, we need the rain more than anything. :-? BK has his own little internal thermostat. The temperature has to be between 18-22C. Anything above or below that and he puts on his melodrama.  Quote
