Mutt_Lady Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 A friend of mine has been itching for a dog for years and years. He got on a breeder's list a little while ago and finally he is going to get his puppy. Woohoo! He told me all about this and then asked me if I wanted to go pick a pup with him. Uh, duh, of course I do! No thought required. 8) Before hand, the breeder said that he had two picks. He was definitely going to get the first or the second pick he was told. These are the two he decided on: I found it particularly cool how Goldens can be such a range of colours. For instance these two pups look like two different shades of yellow..but are equally as cute. ;) Finally, a few days later after everything had been worked out, he was called about his pick. He had gotten his second choice. This is the pup he's getting soon: I am beside myself because he has asked me to help train the pup and said I was welcome over anytime to play with him. Yahoo! Mutt_Lady staggers off in a daze, dreaming of the puppy... Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 Those are SOOOO Cute :o :o My sister and I came to the conclusion a while back that LABS are THE cuttest puppies EVER! While I've seen so SOOOO Adorible bully babies in my life, I HAVE to admit that every lab puppy I've seen was THE cutest. So naturally, since they are so much alike GR's come in a close second  Quote
Bubblezzz Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 I came back here again to have another look. They are just the sweetest!! You know, if I had an open invitation to "come over and play" I'd be packing my bags! Quote

Actually when my friend first told me he was looking into getting a puppy, I was told he was a little suspicious of how close I began to cling to him LMBO. I was always calling and asking if he had decided on a breed. Finally when he had, he called me. Woohoo! We have already begun to plan days for when I'm going to come over and help him train his little dumpling. :D Awww, you have no idea how excited I am! But I may want to know a few things and will be depending on everyone here to help us out. Raising this puppy is going to become a board thing. Now I can't even think without you guys, see what you did? ;) I have questions right now. The main one is...how old does the puppy have to be in order for him and Kyra to start playing together? The breeder was amazing, she had everything organized and every pup spoken for months in advance. She also had the male and female pups seperated and told us that it was partially to avoid those who said they wanted females, to stay away from the males and vice versa. She said some thing like "Can't have some one falling for a pup they can't have"...*gulp*...that's me! I mentioned to her how I "wanted to take one home" and she smiled then told me to join the other 50 some odd people who were on the waiting list LOL. I guess I'll just wait around to get my Aussie Shep. When that happens, we definitely have to arrange for a play date, DAL. Even though we are extremely far apart. Oh well, distance never held any of the explorers back so why should it hold us? Quote
