I took him for his first walk without the leash on the prong collar, I decided he's ready. He still had the prong on, I'm going to phase it out slowly :wink: but the leash was attached to his nylon collar. So we start going and he heeled SOOO good! My arm for the FIRST TIME EVER was not wrentched out of place while the leash was attached to the nylon Collar!! :bday: :bday: Then, as we keep going, one of my crazy neighbor's crazy dogs came running out of it's house at full speed, barking it's fool head off. It spooked Coal at first but I gave him a pat and told him to "LEAVE IT" and he looked back to me and then ahead of him. He would glance at the other dog occasionally, but he walked PERFECTLY by! I'm SO proud!! :D :D My hard work of teaching him to heel EVERY day for god only knows how long has FINALLY paid off! WAHOO!! :D Of course, this is just a STEP in the right direction! We live in a pretty sucluded neighborhood, so the next step is to take him up town (which I've done a few times) and walk him around more distractions until I can finally walk him on his nylon collar there too, but it's still progress!! :P Quote
