Hi, I have a shih tzu. He is 7 months old.

My problem is that my dog will keep eating grass or tree branches ONLY when I bring my wife along. How can I make it stop ? :(

My 2nd problem is that my wife used to hand feed dry dog food to my dog until last week. And now the dog won't eat his dog food (Unless my wife sits beside the food bowl). And we usually give him 15 minutes for him to eat. And if he still doesn't want to eat it, we usually put the food back to the fridge. And we will give him back the food in the next meal time.... Recently my wife and I have noticed that if my dog won't eat his breakfast and lunch, he will vomit some yellow stuff out .. I asked the vet, and they said it's normal. What should i do ?? >.<

Paddy tries to eat the grass too if he manages to get some it makes him sick - When I catch him I call him away-
Hand feeding -- your puppy will eat when he is hungery. I think your wife has spoilt him. If she hand feeds the first monthful he might eat the rest
I think you are doing right leaving the food down for a little while then removing it

my labrador used to eat grass all the time when she was alive, and as kids, me and my sister usually fed it to her. Grass is actually good for a dog's digestion, or it doesnt really hurt him, but the thing is, it sounds like your dog's getting more grass then food, ie the yellow vomit. Try having your wife, as was suggested, feed your dog the first handful, and then softly soothe and pet him as you try and have him eat. If he feels like he's still having as much attention and as much love, he'll satisfy his hunger.

hope my suggestions work,
good luck!
