People who lack the ability to empathize to this degree are basically sociopaths who end up elevating this type of behaviour to people. Look at the number of serial killers who started with animals. I'd personally want a psyche exam for all these kids and if they are indeed sociopaths, then necessary measures need to be taken, no ands ifs or buts about it! I'm an NDPer so I'm not a fan of cruel or unusual punishment. However, I can easily make an exception in this case. I think your punishment is right on! Quote
