Sharpeigirl Posted June 25, 2004 Author Posted June 25, 2004 I know, i'm a softie, I can't turn him away now. He's not been introduced to my big guys, hopefully it'll go okay. He needs neutered first, and removed of bugs Quote
courtnek Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 ***just minding my own business, looking away, whistling, and thinking**** still havent got Mayberry RFD down (The Andy Griffin Show) but working on it. what goes around, comes around..... no pressure. but at some point,. this dog may do something for you you did not expect, if you keep him. If you find him a home, the aura of the good deed stays with you. remember that. either way, you did a wonderful thing. you saved him. what goes around, comes around. Quote
Malamum Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 He looks like a sweet little thing. Good on you for taking him in.  Quote
imported_Kat Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 certainly that wee lad looks full of terrier spirit  Quote
behle Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 Oooh! He is a real cutie-pie! Lucky for him he was dumped in front of your house. There is absolutely nothing too bad for those that dumped him! I'll say it again...he sure is cute! It will be interesting to see how he settles in and learns his house manners. You are his  Quote
Sharpeigirl Posted June 27, 2004 Author Posted June 27, 2004 Just a little update on my Terrier. He's never been in crate, that's for sure!! He howled non-stop. He's got a nasty case of ear mites now, and still trying to get rid of all the fleas. But he's surprsied me with the housebreaking!! All I have to do is say outside & he runs to the door. So far no poo in the house!! Good boy, but he's still marking everything. We're working on that phase now. He's in doggie boot camp with the NILIF program. He does show some signs of mistreatment. I was moping the floor and he cowered anytime the handle got near him Bastards must of hit him with one or chased him with it.  But he's not stupid, he does know commands, such as sit & down. He's a good little fellow, and I never dreamed of owning a "small" dog. Even though he doesn't act like a small dog. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004  Westies are great little terriers. In my experience: a lot easier keepers than some terriers we could name    If you decide you can't keep Scruffy, I'm sure there's a Westie rescue group that would be able to rehome him very easily.
