Carolk9s Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 Ludwig is looking for a home! If you know of anyone in the Richmond area who would like a big, lovable St., let them know of him. Have you ever seen a more gorgeous dog? This big guy is Ludwig. He is a purebred St. Bernard and you might not be able to tell from the picture, but he weighs 125 lbs! Don't let his size fool you, he is calm and loving. He loves to sit at your feet and lean into you for comfort. Ludwig is 5 years old, neutered and housetrained. You have to meet this awesome dog! Carolk9s Posted June 22, 2004 Author Posted June 22, 2004 K napisaĆ(a):OH Carol....oh dear.... Was it kinda mean of mean to post his photo? 8) Not to worry tho, the Richmond SPCA is a no kill facility so he is in NO danger. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 OMG! What a cutie. Saints are my breed and if I could have another dog I'd be in Richmond pronto. But I already have three dogs and really can't have another. Have you tried contacting the local branch of the St. Bernard Rescue Foundation? They'd take him and take care of him, foster, medical, etc. until a suitable home was found! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 glad to hear that he is in a no kill shelter! makes me feel al ittle better, but still upset that he ended u p there to begin with :( Quote
imported_Kat Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 He looks like he needs some decent weight on him the big lad. He looks to be a lot on the skinny side for a St Bernard. What was his history? Quote
Carolk9s Posted June 22, 2004 Author Posted June 22, 2004 No idea of his history, I saw him when I was there recently. Just thought I'd post his photo here. Quote
Shenanigans Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 He's adorable. I'm partial to giant breeds, though have never really turned my eye to Saints. That said, if I could, I'd investigate adding him to my home. Best of luck to him finding a loving place. :) Quote
courtnek Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 oh what a face.....he is a bit lean though. needs some poundage for a Saint.... I think the rescue society is a good idea. People looking specifically for a saint I think would go there first. isnt that kinda on the smaller side for a saint? I mean besides his leanness? I always thought they were bigger than that. Quote
