Smooshie Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 Tomorrow morning, Lyra has her vet appt at 7 am to have her spay and vaccinations...they also will be performing a biopsy on a lump she has on her head (she actually has 3 of them...varying in size). I'm very worried that these will turn out to be something serious, although I am trying to remain optimistic. Apparently her previous owner claims she has "had them for a long time" (keep in mind she is only 15 months old) and this idiot didn't get her checked out by a vet???? Anyhow, please keep Lyra in your thoughts tomorrow...I'll let you all know how it went tomorrow night...I have a consultation with the vet when I pick her up at 5 pm *fingers crossed* Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 Good luck to her! I'll keep my fingers crossed that go well. Quote
imported_Kat Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 paws crossed and hope everything goes well. Keep us posted  Quote
SixstarDanes Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 Good luck! In all honesty its not good for a body to be vaccinated AND have surgery perform right on top of each other. Quote
Smooshie Posted June 22, 2004 Author Posted June 22, 2004 Thank you all for your warm wishes :D ....I am going to call over to the vets to check on her in about an hour...she should be thru her surgery......still keeping my fingers crossed on the biopsy results :-? Sixstar...I understand completely where you are coming from...however in this case it couldn't be avoided. I probably should have clarified ....she is only due for her Bordatella vaccine today...she apparently received all her other boosters in March... I'll post an update later ! Quote
Smooshie Posted June 22, 2004 Author Posted June 22, 2004 ok...so here's the update on Lyra...I just got her home and got her settled in her crate..poor little thing is so woozy. Everything went well.....the lumps on her head turned out to be nothing more than a very neglected skin infection (whew!....yes I am very relieved)...so she is on antibiotics to clear it up. Other than that she is one very healthy little girl ! (and of course by the time I picked her up she had charmed the pants off all the vet techs  ) I am just sooo happy my girl is home ! :D Quote
