I am absolutely disgusted that such false information be given out about a specific breed of dog. First of all, this is absolute discrimination against the Pit Bull Terrier, and second of all, the information is absolutely wrong. Pit Bull terriers are not a breed that is known to be human agressive. Pit Bull Terriers DO NOT attack humans. They have been bred centuries ago to fight other animals, NOT humans. There is a huge difference between animal-aggression versus humane-aggression. In fact, they have been bred to be extremely compassionate and friendly towards their human companions. To inform children that attacking humans is "in this dog's nature" is obsurd and misguided information! This has done nothing more than damaged the reputation of this wonderful breed even more, instead of educating the public that this breed of dog is in fact an excellent family pet that simply needs proper training and care, just like ANY other breed of dog would. How dare you use wrongful information to educate young viewers and their parents about this wonderful breed. If you are planning on EVER talking about Pit Bull Terriers to the public again, I strongly suggest you read a few good books to educate yourselves on this breed. DO NOT damage their reputation because of the false information you are providing for the general public. You should be extremely ashamed for even putting such a video on the internet. Where did you get this information from in the first place? I am offended and dissapointed, as a Christian and a dog owner, that a Christian organization such as this has brought forth tremendous discrimination and lack of education. Shame on you! I hope that I hear from you in the future regarding this matter, and I will be contacting people to let them know about this disgusting and inaccurate portrayal of the Pit Bull Terrier that the Sidewalk Sunday School has brought forth to its viewers is unappropriate and down right wrong. They were originally bred to be guaranteed to NOT hurt people. You had a bad experience with one, so they ALL are to be condemned? What happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? A child down the street from here lost half his face to a Golden Retriever. So I guess we should condemn them all as well. Or all Lab's, because mine doesnt like strangers, or all Cockers, because they sometimes suffer from rage syndrome. Or all shepherds, because they are guard dogs.... Get over it. You cant condemn a whole breed on the actions of one, or a few. You should be ashamed of yourselves for throwing more fire on the already over-heated debate on Pit Bull, and aggressive dog legislation. I have, in the past, sometimes gotten emails back from reporters who want to argue their point, and actually, after various posts, got her to admit that maybe her outlook was biased. to me, that's a win. We are going to sin because that is our nature but through Jesus he will forgive our sins. This is a story that has been told many many times but this time they used a pit bull instead of a snake. They probably did that because pit bulls have been in the news so often lately. They probably wouldn't even have a clue why everyone is so angry. I don't agree with what they did but it's probably ignorance. Quote
