Guest Anonymous Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 DH and i were driving to bank today when we saw 10 guys alls standing around with about 8 pittbulls. They could not control their dogs at all and they were lungening twords each other.. and a car and truck pulled in to block so no one could see, so i got on the cell and called the cops. and they showed up and busted the ring *thank god* i at least saved 8 pups lives today. They were pretty dogs too, a blue one and then the others were fawn and white, so sad.. one of them was my husbands solider, justin said he will have a talk with him on monday.. but i know it's a loossing battle, but hey i stopped them for a while right? I don't think that these kind of creeps should just not be allowed to own Pits - they shouldn't be allowed to have ANY type of dog - or even any type of animal. :evil: Quote

But don't kid yourselves that you saved the dogs... they will almost certainly be killed by the shelter they end up in. Poor dogs are in a no-win situation. Some of them might actually be adoptable, with the right testing and the right owner screening. But few, if any, shelters will adopt out pit bulls sezied in such circumstances :cry: Quote

For the rest of you, if you wanna see dog fighting azzholes go to jail for a long time, write in to your government....senators...whoever you think will represent you best..it may seem like a long shot, but it really really does make a difference.. trust me :P this is coming from someone who runs her own letter campaign..and I've got amazing results from it... But blues are usually a product of show breeding, not gamebreeding. Now there have been blue fighting dogs, but they are rare. Hopefully, these guys weren't just hanging out talkin dogs, because there is certainly enough circumstantial evidence to get them in alot of trouble. In alot of states, all that has to be proven is intent, and it would be easy to convince people of their intent based on what you described. However, if you were driving and saw them , it does not sound like they were trying to hide much. Anyway, I just wanted to give another point of view, please keep us updated. Quote

They dont know the difference between a gamebred dog and their blues. And a lot of them will try to throw their dog in against another dog without even thinking twice. This doesnt only go for blues though either... Most people dont have gamebred dogs. They just think they have a pit so they can fight it. That is nothing but stupid and cruel. Quote
