Guest Anonymous Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 OMG! Puppy flash backs or what? :o Coaly slept in my room last night by my door, and I woke up at 3:00AM to him being sick :o Diareah EVERYWHERE, ugh it was SOOO gross! On my SKETCH PAD TOO   I washed it off and let it dry, I'll prolly have to cut them out and see which pics I can save :( As soon as I turned on the light and screamed "COAL" he came flying over, tail between legs, groveling at my feet! :( Was very hard to be mad at him, not like he could really help it, obviously knew that he's not allowed to go in the house but was sick :( Poor baby, so he went outside, while I tried to clean it up, was just awful. Had to end up sleeping in the spare room downstairs, and didn't get back to sleep until 6:00AM, and of course had to get up at 7:00 that morning :o Needless to say, I fell asleep in a couple of my classes, and on Jared at 10 Min Break  Poor baby dog though... when I got home from school he had the most pitiful look on his face :( So I cuddeled him and played with him and he's as happy as can be now :D I'm DEFFENTLY switching to BARF now though :o There is NO way he should have diareah like that! He's really healthy, and hasn't eaten anything bad that I know of, so it must be the kibble :-? He did that on the living room floor a few months back as well :-? Quote
Horsefeathers! Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 If it makes you feel any better, I woke up the other morning with a mauled up dead bird on my bed. We would never have known it was a bird if it weren't for the feet dangling from it when hubby picked it up. :-? Hope Coal's feeling better. :) Quote
gunnersmom Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 My MIL yorkie brought her a dead mole on her pillow once! I would not like that wake up call! Gunner did the same thing a few weeks back. I am feeling for ya!! Hope he's feeling better! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 Glad to hear I'm not the only one to go through with it  My room is awful still :o there's gota be a pound of airfreshner stuff on it too! I think I may have to shampoo the carpet (whole thing needs to be done anyway) arrrg... I'm dreading sleeping in there tonight, I can still smell it when I walk down the hall :-? Maybe i can get away with sleeping downstairs again  Coal's feeling MUCH better by the way  I got him outside and trained and played with him this afternoon to make up for being grumpy  he did VERY well in his training session, I swear he's suddenly started taking smart pills or something! He never use to be this smart before    Maybe it's the fact he's not a little puppy anymore with an attention span of a pigion  Quote
imported_Kat Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 erf poor wee Coal. I agree its never a nice thing to wake up to! Abby my cat was acting weird growling and jumping about the room one night a few months back and I had the door of my room closed. The lights were out for a second and I heard her boking, but it was my own fault for not listening. Hope Coal feels better and Neutradol is really good for horrid odours! Quote
Yoladybug Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 This has happened to me a number of times...I can think of nothing worse to have to deal with in the morning. Oxy Clean works really really well if it stained your carpet. And once the oxy clean dries, put baking soda on it for a few hours and then vacuum it up...this gets rid of the smell. (I think it's baking soda...whatever you put in the fridge to keep it smelling fresh.) Quote
eric Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 When we moved into our first house, we were repainting most of the upstairs so we were sleeping on the floor in the spare bedroom. Being first time dog owners - we only had Sam and the time - we thought this was a good time to change Sam from puppy food to adult food. Not gradually - just all of a sudden. I awoke to find Sam in the spare bedroom with us (we had this stupid rule that he wasn't supposed to be upstairs, lasted like a month), licking my wife's face and this God awful smell. Poor Sam had gone to basically every room in the house looking for us to be let out; explosively releasing internal pressure in each one. Kitchen, livingroom, master bedroom, the other spare bedroom - the stuff was as high as 2 ft up on the walls. Quote

How stupendously awful.... :o Our saint has had a couple of instances of excessive diarrhea. I have found the enzyme odor remover to be quite effective after cleanup in removing all traces of the smell. Of course it takes a while to "suit up" to do battle with the stinking pond he is capable of leaving. I cannot imagine a clean-up of the above magnitude! And as for farting....Jerry is the champion in our house. If only they could be harnessed for energy production! Quote
