Guest Anonymous Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 This is a story about a beagle named, Sally. When my dad and step-mom found her she was covered in ticks and was crippled from the waist down. She was dragging her back legs and they were raw. She was so skinny that you could, literally, see every bone in her body. They have had her for about 7 weeks now and she is so much better that she is regaing strength and can stand and back up and wag her tail. Just last night my dad and step-mom went to check on her and they heard her crying. So they checked in her dog house and, sure enough, there was a puppy that had just been born. My dad and step-mom stayed out all night with her and she delivered 5 puppies. 4 males and 1 female. There were 3 tri-color and 2 lemon. One puppy, the runt and first born, died today because there was something wrong with him from birth and he couldnt suckle. We tried feeding him through a dropper, but he died in my step-moms lap. We cried for a while but now we are ok because this is truly a miricle. If we had have left her out in the woods she would have died within a day or two. We are so blessed that she survived and delivered 4 healthy puppies. No one thought she would make it. Each and everyday she amazes us more and more. Today she was able to back herself up, and two days ago she stood up. Thank you for reading this truly remarkable story of a crippled beagle named Sally. We are so proud of her!!! I'm also so proud of my step-mom and dad, because if they didnt take her home she'd be dead. Quote
courtnek Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 hug them both for me, and tell them they have truly helped perform a miracle. I hope all the puppies find good homes, with loving families like your parents.  Quote
