Mutt_Lady Posted May 30, 2004 Posted May 30, 2004 Any owners out there?? Please speak up or forever hold yer peace!!!:wink: Quote
corgilady Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 But of course! I can't post any pics right now, my computer has crashed bigtime. BTW they are purebred Pems; never mind the tail it is just for show. Here is a link: http://www.geocities.com/girlfiddler/Dogs.html Quote
Mutt_Lady Posted June 2, 2004 Author Posted June 2, 2004 Thanks for the link, those pembrokes are sooo cute. :D The 3 of yours look very happy and content to be where they are. :D Ok I'm noticing some different colours among yours. Is there a special name for the different shades Pembrokes come in?? Because I see that one of your corgis is kind of darkish and the other is almost butterscotch coloured. Any explanation? Have to say that confused me. Quote
corgilady Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Hi Eileen, the darkish guys are sables. My corgi friends are always telling others that mine are "true" sables, so apparently there are some fakes out there.... Painted-on eyebrows, perhaps???? The other one is a plain ol' red and white. Also nearby is Fella's sister, a blackheaded tri. I'll try to get a picture of her soon. take care, tanya Quote
Mutt_Lady Posted June 4, 2004 Author Posted June 4, 2004 Hi Tanya: Thanks for clarifying the colours of your pembrokes. I was really at a loss and thought pembrokes were only one single colour. Oosps. Oh and don't think you got off THAT easily! ;) I still have plenty more to ask you about. But right now, would ya mind if I just got to know all your pembrokes? I'm curious as to what you do with them - are they just pets or do you show and trial them? Do you have a link of colours Pembrokes come in? Approximately how old are yours? Thanks in advice. (TIA) :D Quote
corgilady Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Hi, The ones I have now, I just have for pets. Toby is 7 and Fella is 6. I used to have one that I showed in obedience trials. Actually these guys know all the commands; I'm just too lazy to show them. I would love to do agility, but it doesn't exist around here. We recently had a Corgi picnic, with Corgis and mixes from 15 states. When the pics are posted, I'll send you a link. It was SOOOO cool. Also if you want to know more, you could subscribe to Corgi-L. http://corgi.ncn.com It's one of the oldest and largest internet lists. There is also a group called Corgi Aid at www.corgiaid.org that has lots of links to all things corgi. Those of us who have them are nuts about them, as you can see. Quote
