Guest Mutts4Me Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 I'm on my lunch break, and I just had to jump on here and comment about the show I just saw. It was Animal Planet's "Adoption Tales," and it was from 2003, so it's been mentioned before, I'm sorry. It was a b/w pit bull named Carla who'd been caught from the street and was afraid of people. She was put in the care of a foster dog trainer who put in a lot of work socializing her and teaching her basic obedience. Then came adoption time, and people weren't sure of her because she was so terribly shy, and she didn't warm up to people (actually having to be carried over to them). One guy said No because she didn't have "that spark," and a grandma said No because it was too big, a pit bull, and might be mean. The next family they showed was a younger couple, but the woman was afraid of dogs :( But she liked Carla :) So they showed the home inspection - they had everything taken care of, even had a privacy fence, and Carla was left there with her new family. It showed them days later, with Carla running around and grinning that Bully grin, and I started laughing out loud. It was so cool. Quote
