StarFox Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 I have a pee pee question! Zebra pees abour 6-7 times a day. Is that too much? And it's not like it's a little bit, it's a LOT! So is there an "average" amount of times you dog pees in one day? Quote
imported_nea Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Webby's "pee schedule"  is sort of once loooong each time he goes out, thats usually right outside the building. Then he marks a bunch of things on the walk, sometimes quite alot sometimes he seems to sort of run out of pee and lifts his leg without anything coming out... :o  I've never counted his markings but the "real" ones are maybe 4-5 times a day or so I guess. xavierandrea Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Patti and Asim go out 2x a day. Free on the other hand goes out 5 - 6xs a day. Ever since we had her spayed she always has to pee pee. I guess every doggie is different. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Both Roxie and Bentley will pee every time you take them outside, no matter when the last time they went out was. But Bentley CAN go without potty breaks for hours at a time. Caeser on the other hand will not always go when I take the dogs out. They go out a lot right now because Roxie is still just a puppy. 5 months at the end of this month. So I take my doggies out about every two hours when I'm home, which is most of the time. :D Quote
courtnek Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Just to be careful....a few things to check. Is Zebra drinking more than usual? and/or losing weight? and is this unusual or has he always been this way? The reason I ask is that dogs can become diabetics, and the first symptoms are excessive drinking and excessive urination. After a while of this, you will notice him starting to lose weight. If any two of the three fit Zebra, take him to the vet and have blood work done. It's a simple test to determine if he is diabetic or not. Quote

Zeb has always drank allot of water, ever since he was a pup. I'm not worried about anything being medicaly wrong with him because he has had blood workd done, his tyroids checked and the whole nine yards. But I did get a good laugh at this: and/or losing weight? I wish! Litter bugger needs too loose 7 lbs!  Ahh well it's good to know that Zebra has an 'average' peeing schedual. Webby lifts his leg???? Okay, he's younger then Coal right? Why in the world do you want him to lift his leg...I find it so much easier when they squat. By the way when was Coal neutered? Quote
