Guest Anonymous Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 I just got a new puppy from a friend he said it was a spitz but now that I've tried to do some research on them I found that a spitz is not just a single dog but a group of them! I don't have any pictures so i'll describe it it has: Short Hair Brown Nose Blonde, Tanish fur Ears are slighty darker than rest of body Paw pads are a Brown color Will grow longer hair on cheecks, arms, tail, under body, and ears Quote
Queen Bitch Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 There is a breed called a Finnish Spitz, and the dog that generally gets called a Spitz and at one time was actually called the Spitz is the American Eskimo dog. Maybe you could do a search for those? Quote
Aonir Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Spitz.. There is a lot of dogs that can go by that! German Spitz(renamed to American Eskimo), Japanese Spitz(looks just like the german spitz!), Finnish Spitz was already mentioned.. I own an American Eskimo and I'll post a pic for you. American Eskimos can come in biscuit cream color and white. My Eskie is white with cream spots, darker on ears. Black nose, but I have seen some with brown, black pads and supposed to have long furr(not great quality in breed specifics). Shes the dog ;) Better face pic: Top view Quote
