AKelley Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Hey guys....have any of you had any personal experiences with Wisteria and your dogs? Do any of you have it growing near or around any of your animals? My research tells me it is poisonous, but I know several people who have it growing in abundance near their kennels and have had zero problems. Anyone have a clue??? Thanks Quote
Aroura Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Well it doesn't say anything in my "Pets in your garden" book - but I just found out that one bite of oliander can be fatal! :o Good thing its only in my front garden, I wasn't sure at first and was beggining to freak out! I havn't heard anything about wisteria, but I'd like to know because I was actually considering to plant some! Quote
gunn akitadane Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 I have it growing in my front yard, but I also have not heard of it being poisonous, but would definitely like to know. Quote
Aroura Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 A bit of a weird question here, not all that dog related but related to this topic. As I've mentioned on many posts, our garden is out of control. I've recently pulled down the biggest vine you'll ever see, I recently found out its a climbing rose of some sort. Its turned our backyard not only into a jungle, but like a dumpster now, as I don't have anywhere to put it! We've also got a huge forest of privet in the back corner that needs to go. I WANT TO GET A GOAT TO CLEAN IT ALL UP!!! I have no idea where to get one from, but its the best idea I've had yet! I went to a kiddy farm in the mall yesterday with goats and AN ABSOLUTLY ADORABLE cute little cuddley wuddley (I'm getting clucky over it!) 2 week old piglett!!! Of course I have no use for a pig here, but was wondering if anyone knew if privet or climbing roses were poisenous to goats!!! I hear they will eat anything, can anyone verify? Quote
