Places to go, things to do...

I know there was a topic about this a long time ago, but there are a bunch of new people now, so maybe we'll get some new ideas...

What sort of places do you take your dogs, and what places do you know of that allow dogs? Things like stores, parks, etc :lol:

we go to the park for Hippo to meet her friends, have 3 petstores within walking distance that we visit :lol: , bookstores, bank, clothing stores (only if Hippo isn't slobbery :lol: )

People in N.Ireland are twats and shops go berserk if you bring in a dog that isn't an assistance dog :roll: . However I would take Meg to Pets at home and Jolleyes. Also to the hospital where she visits, and the usual parks, dog club, shows etc!

In continental Europe they are so much better and let dogs into shops and on trains etc in a fair few countries including the Netherlands, so if Meggie was to come with me she would be brought everywhere :wink:

Here in Illinois only assistance dogs are allowed into stores, banks, etc...in a real pinch you can occaisionally get one into the hospital, if the doctor thinks the dog will help whoever you are visiting...

There are quite a few petstores around that let you bring your dogs and cats in, on leashes or held...and I think, although I've never done it, that you can bring them on trains, although not busses....

There are dog parks as well, but I cant trust Freebee offleash, so we dont go there.
