Sharpeigirl Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 I see Royal Cain has breed specific diets. Are they any good? Quote
dogsgalore Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 I have seen cat breed specific food. The food for persian cats was just shaped differently so that the cat could pick it up easier. Also a Siamese cat food that had a better taste because these cats are more fussy. Maybe it's pretty much the same with this food? What breeds are the food for? Quote
TDG Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 i would put more weight into ingredient quality than a "breed specific" formula. i very much agree that one particular dog food isn't going to meet the needs of every dog (breed or not), but even dogs of the same breed can have different requirements. TDG Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 personally i wouldn't ever consider feeding any iams or eukanuba foods to my pets. not only due to poor quality ingredients sold at totally inflated prices, but also because of the questionable business practices of the parent company, procter & gamble. it boggles my mind each time i see that eukanuba is more expensive at pet stores than actual quality products like for example canidae... TDG Posted February 18, 2004 Posted February 18, 2004 well, at least now we know the profit margin vets have from selling euk. :o Quote
