courtnek Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!! Josh GOT IT!!! Best in Working Group!!! he's so beautiful.... :D :D :D :D Quote
Guest Mutts4Me Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 ARGH!! Umm, not cuz of Josh, because YAY for him, lol... But my newspaper said it started at 9, so I missed the Working Group, which means I missed Kamakazi's Remington... but he placed 4th, so Yay Remy, too! I'm so mad. Now I have to run off to see the AmStaff and BT. Quote
kendalyn Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Yay JOSH!!! He sure is beautiful! Raisin looked great too. Very striking dog. The did a special section with the Bull Terrier. He was pretty cute :-) Quote
courtnek Posted February 10, 2004 Author Posted February 10, 2004 Remington was VERY pretty...I'm glad he won a ribbon too...did anyone notice that the announcers are giving out "buying tips" about each individual dog? I was very stricken by the tips for the Huskies..."a very good stable dog IN THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT..." I think this is a GOOD thing!!! they made comments on how Dane's make good apartment pets, how the working dogs need WORK... I was impressed. Hundereds of thousands of people watch this show...maybe they'll LEARN something before they buy the Dalmation, or Dogue de Bordeaux, or Lassie...famed from movies but not always good with an unknowing owner. It AMAZES me that people dont understand that these dogs are TRAINED to do this...that their handlers are offstage and running everything the dog does...the poeple in the movies are not the dogs real owner... I know people who refuse to believe that all the dogs that played Lassie were male... Quote

( I love digital cable and its search function.) Hopefully you'll see this in time. Quote
imported_Kat Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Does Westminster have obedience and agility like Crufts just out of interest? :) Quote
imported_Cassie Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Good for Josh, I didn't get to see the show last night...but, I'm sure my friend taped it! Josh is the father of one of my my Newf's...actually all of my Newf's have Pouch Cove in them. Quote

I looked online to see if it would be repeated, but it said no. How come everyone's lying to me?? I wanted to see Remy, lol. The rest of the dog show wasn't nearly as exciting because I was moping the whole time ;) All of Michigan's in EST... doesn't hit Central til somewhere in Indiana :) Quote
courtnek Posted February 11, 2004 Author Posted February 11, 2004 On a side note, I think living in Indiana would make me crazy. Half the state recognizes Daylight SAvings Time, the other half doesnt. So if you live on one side and work on the other, your clocks are an hour different all summer....I'd NEVER make it work on time.... Quote
courtnek Posted February 11, 2004 Author Posted February 11, 2004 wooooo hoooooo!!! josh got it!! The Foxhounds never get the win... I'm glad the newfie did !! :D :D :D :D Quote
Queen Bitch Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 See, I thought it was going to be the Ibizan or the Norfolk. Way to go Josh! Bout time there was a big dog again. Quote
imported_Cassie Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Good for Josh! I don't think any one in the Newfoundland dog club is surprised. Quote
