dogsgalore Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 I taught Jesse a new trick. He does a high five, he sits up his his hind legs and slaps my hand with his paw. I'm also teaching him to hold his paw up like it was lame, then I want to teach him to walk with it off the ground, like the dogs in the movies. He's very smart and catches on so quick! I taught him high five this morning, it's easy to teach him to do stuff with his paws. Teaching him to be lame is taking a little longer though. He does tricks for pieces of dog food! I gave one to Beta and she's like," Dog food!? I want a treat, not dog food!" She must think Jesse is a real sucker, here he is doing tricks for it and she won't even take it for free! Quote
imported_nea Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Sounds fun! :D How did you teach him to do that? :) Quote
imported_Kat Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 LOL as long as Beta doesn't whisper in Jesse's ear that he should have higher standards for accepting food  Good for you keeping him mentally stimulated; I love seeing owners working with their dogs :D Quote
kendalyn Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 That walking limp thing is a great idea! I have been trying to think of a new trick for Buck and that sounds like a really fun one! Quote
