Yes, I just read something like that in the dictionary. When I think of guilt I think of the lump in the back of my throat I get when I've done something wrong and feel bad about it, I think dogs do know when they've done something wrong, the only thing I'm skeptical about is that they actually feel bad about it.... if you get what I mean.

Nothing anyone can say will convince me that dogs don't know when they've done something wrong, the proof I get when I see my dogs reactions before I even see what they have done is all I need to know otherwise.
