Guest Anonymous Posted December 22, 2003 Posted December 22, 2003 That's it! There should be a LAW AROUND HERE! I don't care if there's more dogs then people in this town, ALL THE MORE REASON TO MAKE A LAW! Can't even take my freakin dog for a nice peacful walk down the road without getting bombarded!!!! That was the shortest walk in the UNIVERSE I bet because Duke comes running out, and no matter what WOULDN'T go home, the more I yelled at him to go home, the more Coal freaked out because he doesn't like it when people yell, so there I am standing in my PJ's in the snow in the middle of the road screaming "GO HOME DUKE! GET!" then turn around in a soothing voice "it's Okay Coal, I'm not yelling at you, your being a good boy" then back around "GO HOME DUKE!" on and on. SO FINALLY, Chuck comes home (one of Duke's owners) and so he goes running home, and so finally I think we may have some peace and quite. I settled Coal down and go to continue on my walk and we get no more then 5 steps and the other neighbor's dog LADY comes running out! Now this dog is MUCH easier to get home because sadly, she so skitterish (I don't doubt that they've beat her :( ) I just had to deepen my voice and say "Lady, GO HOME' and she high tailed it back to her yard, but then she just tood at the edge of her property staring at us, and Coal's flipping out because he wants to go play. So I just cut the walk short and went home. I'm going to have to get my licence and DRIVE THE DOG OUT OF TOWN TO WALK HIM!!!  :drinking: Sorry guys, just had to rant. Quote
Duke_3 Posted December 22, 2003 Posted December 22, 2003 sorry shara BUT its not my fault! I went uptown and the dog was in teh house with my dad when we got back my dad was gone, so HE left duke off his run..sorry shara it wasnt my fault case when theres no one else home i tie the dog up, my dad didnt  Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 did I say it was your fault Lexie? I didn't! I'm saying EVERYONE down this road, damn near everyone in this TOWN lets their dogs roam free and do what they want and I'm SO sick of it!!! :drinking: Quote
courtnek Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 chill, Hazel..call animal control. dont get yourself all worked up or upset, it wont help. Maybe a few fines will stop them? :D Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 I don't think Animal Control exists around here... :-? Quote
Holz_Boomer Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 that must b awfull, but i do say, i dont think Lexie is a bad owner...some dogs are like that...i had a 14 year old dog and he was deaf..during storms, or when he escaped from his long chain under the tree, he would always run straight to my gramma's house (but im sure if that was only cuz he loved her  ) but we did everything we could to prevent that from happening, but we couldnt, i dont think we were bad owners cuz our doggy liked to run away...but yes, i totally agree that must be frustrating..     hmmm...   maybe go door to door with a letter telling them how you feel about it and how it frustrates you and how it really does affect on u, and ask them kindly to make an effort to keep an eye on their dogs.. hopefully they will take it into consideration  sorry i am no better help  love, Mich xox Merry Christmas xox Quote
