I must say I was very angered to see a "Breeders" section on this site that had a American Pit Bull Terrier kennel in Houston who "Specialized" in "Gamebred" APBTs.

Just what we need in Houston, more punks fighting APBTs.

:flop:

I am going to take my leave from this website until that is removed.

I think you're being a bit hasty. If you read a lot of the other posts you would see that most of the people here are against dog fighting and would never patronize a breeder who is in favor of it.

A better judge of feelings on this forum would be the opinions of the people using it, not one ad on the site.

I guess you probably won't see this though...

There's also people here who openly admit to matching dogs, or liking it. So there's a flipside too. But Kat is right, the forum is different from the site part.

unfortunately, there is nothing that anyone here can do about any portion of the site that is not this forum. wouldnt that be great, though?
but the others are right, dont judge us by what you see there.

I for one can understand your concerns, i think we all do.
But the dogo site is not owned or run by us, the forum is only a very small part of this search engine
I do not agree with game breds being advertised, nor millers selling their wares
You need to hit that feedback button and tell them how you feel

And standing up for the site a little bit here  game bred may not mean the same thing in poland
And how can they check out millers advertising if they are not aware :-?
All i can say is
HIT THAT FEEDBACK BUTTON AND EXPLAIN HOW YOU FEEL

oh... and one more thing gam bred doesnt mean game-tested. Dogs can have tested dogs way back in the ped and still be called "game-bred" and neither them nor parents or grand-parents ever be tested. they are just from game-lines. So its really kennels that test the dogs that you detest.

You know K,

I looked at ONE of the ads, so you're defending this crap? I didn't scan every single kennel you had posted because honestly I did not have the time. I can't beleive I would get that sort of response out of you. Roll your eyes all you want.

The fact of the matter is simple:

This website, whether controlled by you or not, is ADDING to the problem of the influx of dogs in my country by promoting breeders. So roll your eyes until they become permanantly stuck behind your head.

WOW- just in the door and already starting a ruckus.

I think its safe to say if this entire site was monitored by K we would probably do more than just this forum. I personally dont use any other functions. If you dont like the rest of the site... dont go there.
If the rest of the site is offensive to you dont look.
I cant understand the problem..
people are going to buy from breeders, even thought ere are dogs in shelters and rescues. We dont like it but its how it is. they dont want a dog that has been altered because they want to breed it and contribute to the problem. or they want a puppy that they can raise to an adult, they dont want to have to deal with abuse issues or whatever... having a posting up is nothing. its not like its a suggested kennel, or one that Dogo is promoting as a great place to buy a dog.

K do you know if those posting cost money... if they do that answers your question right there. the webmasters are not going to turn away good money becuase your uncomfortable on a free forum. as long as the site says "no dogs for illegal purposes" or something to that effect they arent doing anything wrong from a business standpoint.

NOT TO BE MEAN--THATS THE WAY IT IS.

Nahieran- do you honestly believe if we had full control of this place there would be any unscrupulous ads?? Get over it mate.   There are far worse things than advertising gamebred abpts, as K (surely the most compassionate, humane animal lover ever to exist! :) ) has already mentioned...
and if you even bothered to look past the advertising you will discover that almost all of us are against dog fighting and other practices you may personally find abhorrent. The simplest thing, of course, is to just find another site that meets your pure, innocent, ethical and moral standards. Good luck! :evilbat:
