Guest Anonymous Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 The Vet called because Hollywood does have a heart murmur. The Vet suggested possibly getting a ultra sound done if I wanted to wait. Not that I don't care about Hollywood, but the price here in Ontario for that is $500.00 Canadian. That's seems outrages. Anyway the Vet figured that his murmur may be 3 on the scale they use which is 1-6. I said to go ahead and do the operation. The Vet didn't disagree, but had to warn me about some things. I called at 12 noon and he was just waking up. I pick him up at 6 p.m. tonight. I called at about 2:30 and Hollywood is still a bit out of it. Anyway everything went fine. Yahoooooooo!!! I had looked up the murmur on the net and it said that unless the dog show signs of heart problems like easily becoming tired and out of breath, Vets don't recommend doing it. Thanks for the support from you guys. Hercules will probably be done next month. Quote
behle Posted December 14, 2003 Posted December 14, 2003 What great news about Hollywood's successful surgery! :D Quote
DogPaddle Posted December 14, 2003 Posted December 14, 2003 Does Hollywood ever seem out of breath when he aught not to be? I'm guessing no, as you have never said anything about it. To reassure you, my uncle's lab had a touch of a murmur, never showed any effects, lived a very long, healthy life. Hope Hollywood is feeling well after surgery and good luck to Hercules next month.
