My friend's neighbor got a dog from the pound. She was probably a Shepherd/Siberian Husky cross. They named her Wolf because she looked like one, she was very pretty and not a mean bone in her body. She was only about 2 years old. She had been at the pound for three weeks and was way overdue to be put to sleep but she wasn't because she was such a nice dog! :D (The pound had found her wandering around the city with no collar.) Anyway, their neighbors were very nice but simply didn't have time for the dog and she spent a lot of her time tied up except for when my friend walked her a few times a week.( They had built a fence around their yard, but Wolf could get out because the fence had been damaged by some people working next to it.) I don't think Wolf's original owner had ever played with her because she didn't know how to play with a stick or ball or anything. I think she'd been abused to because she yelped and cowered once when my friend touched her scruff, like she was afraid she was going to be hit or something. My friends neighbors realized that it wasn't fair to Wolf to keep her cooped up so they gave her to someone who lived on an acreage. Last I heard she was having the time of her life! She would run into the bush and chase squirrels and come bounding out, tongue lolling, her eyes dancing with joy as she looked at her new owners, then back she would go for more fun! I was very happy to hear it! :D

VERY GOOD TO HEAR!!

I have a friend who gave their golden to his brother, who lives on a farm,
because he couldnt exercise it properly and didnt want her to suffer.

she is now living the "good life" - running on the farm, playing with the kids....having a great time. When Jim visits there, she still comes up and licks his face, she remembers him as her once owner...but when Jims brother calls her, she comes to him and lays at his feet. She is very happy, and it looks like this dog is too!!

I wish I could have a farm....

or a really nice tract of land with forests and prairies....I would be happy there.
