abker17 Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 That's really scary, but very true. :( :( It's a shame that humans have come to this. :( Quote
courtnek Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 Very sad.....maybe I shouldnt say this, but PETA has been advocating for years that dogs should not be kept as companion animals...all animals should be "free" (so all the housedogs in the world get set loose to raid garbage all over the planet? these people are idiots...) and I wonder how much of the BSL law is influenced by them....they have a huge lobbying organization that storms Washington, DC all the time..... kendalyn Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 exactly, you have to stand up for what's right all the time, not just when it is effecting you personally. Quote
mouseatthebusstop Posted November 18, 2003 Posted November 18, 2003 it is scary, I also know the s/pei could be next    Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 19, 2003 Posted November 19, 2003 mouse, absolutely right--ignorants often list shar pei as pitbull type dogs. when the "evil pitbull" craze started, reputable pei breeders all over the country were targeted and some fell for the apbt hype spread by sensationalist newspapers--that all pitbulls (and pei were pitbulls by default) would eventually turn on thier owners. in fact, pei are sometimes listed in BSL. In fact, sometimes pei are CALLED pitbulls...to me, they couldn't be more far apart--like confusing goats and sheep, or something....but people have confused the two. Quote
