Guest Anonymous Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Ok, I am sick like nobodies buisness..and I am coughing up a storm. Sounds relatively normal right? Well my dog Brooklyn is acting so weird when ever I cough. Oh yes..my roommate was also sick and coughing and Brooklyn was NOT doing this. When ever I cough, he gets all freaked out and goes looking for my roommate, he breaks into his rooms and sits in there. Or he will sit by the back door and wait for him. If he is home he will jump on his lap, and is like shaking like a lief. He seems totally freaked out and scared when I cough. He even tries to jump on my lap, and if I don't let him he paws at me...which hurts. He is like 110lbs...so you get the picture. I know how batty this sounds...but I am kinda worried about it because he is just so freaked about it. He is not normally easily freaked out, nothing scares him..loud noises, storms nothing. I just want to give him some peace, and my legs a rest! But I am not really sure how to go about it. I haven't "comforted" him when he does it yet, I normally act like he is nuts. But that just makes him more weird! Any ideas? :drinking: Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 This is Pouty...lol! I don't know maybe? I knew it sounded crazy! :o Quote
imported_nea Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Maybe he's worried about you? I don't know... Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 That might be part of it. But he shakes and is so scared by it, I would like to figure out what I can do to calm him down. I feel so silly for even starting this thread, but I feel bad for him. And because he is normally so brave, it's making me worried. It's probably nothing! Quote
Aonir Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 My friend's dog gets all worried and weird when anyone sneezes! She walks up to you with her ears up and head cocked like "Are you ok?? wanna play to make you feel better?" lol Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 not to frighten you, but there is a REALLY BAD bronchial/lung virus going around....it requires atibiotics to treat, I have it and it makes you feel like you're coughing up a lung....and your dog may know it. They are able to sense illness in people. I would be on the safe side and go see a doctor. I am on antibiotics right now.... BTW if you dont have it treated it becomes pneumonia.... this is courtnek - I cant seem to stay logged on still... Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 Thanks Courtnek, I am going to the doctor tomorrow..it was the first appointment I could get, which I made last week! So people must be sick around here! I have just that feeling...feeling like you are going to cough up a lung. I won't even disgust you or anyone with telling you WHAT I have coughed up! I've had a temperature of a 100-2 for the last two days. Being sick sucks! I hope my dog doesn't sense anything bad..geesh! Because now that I think of it, he never reacted this way before. But that could be because I am just so stuffed up and sound some what like a horn? Or a very large barking dog!    Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 admin@pitbullpets.com Sorry to say, bad move sometime deleting all post. People need to know these things. Hiding it, allows nichola to keep doing what she she does because people aren't aware of what she is capable of. Nothing offensive was said, just information that people should know. History repeats itself when people aren't aware of it. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 After everything that has happened, I don't know why I am still posting but...I just have the flu and have lost my voice. Thanks for all the kind words dispite everything that has been said! Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 He just said that right now it's just a really bad flu, but because I have also lost my voice and I am...well so stuffed up. That I have to come back in four days, because like you said before it can turn into pneumonia, very easily. But he put me on antibiotics, and thinks that should clear it up. Plus Jaeden cracked my nose tonight! So I am having a lovely time being sick and stuffed up with a REALLY sore nose! Quote
