Just wanted to let everyone know that I HAVE MY PUPPY!!! :D Just got back, and he is of course very stressed out. Whining lots. But I'm "ignoring" him a little, so he'll calm down. Its working well, he's lying here by my feet whining but behaving. I think he misses his family! Poor puppy :( Its a challenge, but I am sooooo very happy! :)

Thanks! :D

Taking a walk with this puppy is a joy! He is so attentive to me and heels almost all the time, and I don't even think he knows the command, so he does it because he wants too! But he is curious and loves to run too! We met another dog, some kind of cousin to the burnees (sp?) mountain dog, and pup did bark, but I stopped and talked to the other dogs owner for a bit, and puppy was very good, although he didn't greet the dog he didn't bark or grow and just stood in between my legs peeking out. I used to do that as a small kid!
He LOVES people! He jumped up on 2 people allready! :o I need to get quicker. They didn't mind though, luckily. Still!

YAY! Congrats! I know how long you've been waitin for your puppy!
hehe, it's amazing the power puppies have on people! Coal is REALLY bad for jumping on people  (although use to be worse, so it is gettin better :) ) I remember taking him for a walk when he was about... hmm... probably 5 or 6 months old, and he jumped up on the drunks sitting on the benches! :o I was just waiting for one of them to try and kick him or something, so I quickly tried to pull him away, and they started laughing and petting him, and sayin what a cute puppy he was  *phew* hehee :D

Thanks K, Shara and Horsefeathers! :D A few pictures are in the picture forum now, and I'll add more later. Hes a very picturesque puppy! :)
I'm glad those drunks didn't hurt Coal. No one seems to be able to resist a puppy! And the ones that can aren't worth bothering with anyway. :evilbat:

Thanks!:) He is such a good boy! Last night he started out sleeping on the sheepskin I put here in the living room for him. Then he moved into my room, where I put a blanket on the floor. Then he jumped up on my bed. I let him, and for a while he slept there, right next to my face. Just Like I always imagined it would be with my dog! :) Then he went back to the floor, and at 6.20 he woke me. I had my alarm clock on 6.30, so there wasn't a big difference. I got him his breakfast, and in that time (2 minutes maybe?) he had done a puddle on the floor. :-? He ate then we went out and he did other "buisneses" We were out again a little while ago, and now hes tierd and lying on the big pillow that is actually mine, but he kind of took over. I have two of them, so we can each have one! :D He looks adorable, and I took some pictures. Going to post them now!:)

Yay, so happy to hear you finally got him!!!
Welcome to puppy hood, its a long and tiresome journey, but its well worth it! :D
One thing I've learnt is that if a puppy wakes you up you shouldn't even blink, because if you do there will be a puddle waiting on the floor by the time your eyes are open again. You have to jump up, run to the door and let puppy out STRAIGHT AWAY!!! Lily was terrible, if I didn't run she would always pee before I had a chance to stop her, so its straight to the door without any hesitation!
Going to look at pictures now

Thanks! :) I just love my puppy so much! He is seriously what I always dreamed of having in my dog! :D
Thats good advice Aroura! I already had something similar happen, when after he woke me I thought I could get him to eat breakfast before I took him out. I went into the kitchen to get the food, and when I came back... But other than that, he is a good boy! He's only had 2 "accidents" inside. :)

Only two accidents inside? Well he's doing well then!!!! Lily was a horror for the first few months, she'd always some how manage to do it just as I turned my head, so I never caught her in the act. She was good though, the first time I ever caught her in the act I scooped her up and bolted outside with her and gave her the biggest hug when she did it... and then she never ever did it in the house again
