Listed below are answers to some commonly asked questions:

Auditions are open to all breeds (including mixed breeds), and all sizes. Dogs must be at least one year of age.

Auditions are open to all dog owners, handlers, and breeders, both professional and non-professional. Guests are welcome, and they may bring their own dog(s) to audition.

Dogs will be asked to participate in four 'low-stress' challenges: Memory, Courage, Obedience (with handler) and a 'Free-Style' challenge, in which special talents may be exhibited. All challenges are voluntary, and will be supervised and evaluated by a team of professional and accredited dog medical/behavioral specialists.

There is no cost, and contestants may submit more than one dog.

All dogs must be on a leash, and we request you provide adequate clean-up apparatus. Dogs may be asked to work briefly 'off-leash.'

The audition process will likely take 10 minutes or less per dog.

Proof of vaccination and a veterinary health certificate are required for all dogs.

"America's Greatest Dog" cannot be responsible for any travel related expenses for the audition process.

All handlers must consent to be videotaped (with their dogs) during the audition process for possible broadcast use.

In mid-November, ten 'Finalists' from the audition process will be notified, and will appear in the two-hour special,
