marion Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 I've had a crap day from the moment I got up this morning nothing has gone right. :x Neighbours on holiday, only son who's at home is working all day so I said I'd let their Shih Tzu's out midday (as they'd pooped in the house yesterday). :( All my paperwork was messed up as usual which means I have to sort it out (what they do in that office is beyond me), which p----d me off. I hadn't had a good night's sleep so was grumpy because of that. Plus it was pouring down and freezing and I had to go out in it, then I had to do the food shop whenever I got the time. :x Anyway, changed the bedding on the back bed (company last Saturday), made our bed. Sorted the paperwork out and loaded the car. Let myself in next door, the dogs started yapping excited because they thought they were going out and what happened, I couldn't open their patio door, it's bloody ancient, I'm screaming and cursing, the dogs are yapping and I'm getting more stressed. In the end I had to leave them (poor Paddy and Oscar) :( Of I went to do my work, only went a few miles down the road and I had three idiots who thought they could drive and then nobody was home at several of the houses I went to. :x Anyway got it done and went for my shopping, aghhhhhhhh hardly anything on the shelves. I was feeling fed up and cheesed off (as us Northerners say). I came home about 4.00pm and was greeted by two excited waggly tails, I dumped the shopping in the kitchen, left my paperwork, called the dogs and said "Let's go girls". I needed a good walk to calm down, sod the frozen food. Walking on back field, Rosie was romping around like a puppy, I got quite ahead and when I looked round Rosie was way back having a sniff. When she looked up and saw where I was she ran like the wind, tail wagging, bum wriggling, ears flapping to catch me up. As I've said before this always lifts my spirits, I'm stood there bending over singing "You are beautiful, you're my beautiful baby, I love you so much, you're so beautiful, so beautiful, beautiful quite loudly, she reached me and I was hugging and kissing her and still singing, when I looked up there were some people standing there looking at me as if I'd completely lost my mind, singing to, hugging and kissing the dog. I went home happier, then I went upstairs to put some ironing away. Ruby had been on our bed and she must of had a bit of a dirty bottom so you can imagine what my white duvet cover looked like. I changed it, even this couldn't dampen my mood now. What a day (and I've found out how to open next door's patio for tomorrow). Quote

Thankfully your girls were able to pull you out of it before you went down for the count! Put your feet up, relax, and enjoy the calm! Quote
