Sassy came through surgery just fine, minus a leg, & she has a pin in the other leg. But all in all she's doing great. Sleeping a ton, and really not interested in eating. It's going to be a long hall for her. NBut she;s my Sassy girl

:( Sharpei girl,

So sorry to hear about your Sassy..... what a nightmare this has been for you !! The good news is she's found and she's alive !!
I've seen stories on Animal Planet about many dogs living with a leg missing and even one who had 2 legs missing and could still walk !! :o

We're Pressing Paws and Hands here for your Sassy and You !!

Just a quick update on Sassy. She's doing much better today, she decided she didn't like anyone messing with her at the vets office, so she's turned very uncivil towards everyone there, so they have to muzzle her when then examine her   She's showing why she got her name  I go for a vist later today, be my first time seeing her without a leg, but alive. Thanks for all the well wishes, and prayers, she needs them

Shes a fighter. Good to hear she is standing up for herself. At the weekend we had a wee 14 week old min Schnauzer called Jock admitted who had escaped and was hit by a car unfortunately. His front right leg is looking decidedly dodgy so hearing that Sassy is on the mend will guide me towards making a joint decision with my boss.

Hug her when you see her

Sharpie Girl, I'm glad to hear that Sassy is doing so well. I'm also sorry that I was not here to lend you my love, support, and what comfort I could when she escaped.

With all my love,

Amanda

I'm so glad to hear Sassy's getting along well. :D  :calus: It takes a little adjusting, but dogs get along great with three legs. :) When will she be coming home?
