GIXXSTER Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 http://www.purebredpuppy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6272&start=0 Please read this thread and help out if possible. Pitbull owner are having to defend the breed again in a start where BSL is against state law. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 BSL is going to continue for as long as there are irresponsible owners. People buy pure APBTs thinking they are great guard dogs... problems follow. People breed APBTs with other breeds...problems follow. People buy APBTs mixed with another dog...problems follow. People have a dog wich may resemble an APBT and it is automatically a pit bull...problems follow. There will never be an end to the problems this wonderful breed attracts until people understand the breed more and until only the people who understand the breed own them (which will never happen.) The entire breed is blamed when one dog, pure or not, does something wrong. It all falls on the shoulders of the owners. Maybe we need to be fighting the irresponsible people who own the breed. They are the reason BSL is even an issue. Rancher David Austin addresses Madera County Supervisors Tuesday, asking for strict laws regulating pit bulls and stray dogs. Three of his horses were attacked and injured by a pit bull last month. A man whose horses were attacked last month by a Pit Bull dog addressed the Madera County Board of Supervisors Tuesday asking for stricter ordinances to protect lives and livestock. I really dont think these horse owners are asking for too much. Again, its the owners of the dogs fault this happened. The dogs shouldnt have been running around freely. Another mark against the APBT because of irresponsible owners. Maybe there should be a law passed to shoot them on site! Quote

Its not a matter if the dogs were Pitbulls or not, its a matter that an irresponsible DOG owner let this happin. I do think there should be harsher laws aimed towards dumbass owner but in this case the guys is going after "PITBULL's" not dogs in general. So we need to standup and stop this. Now if they inact a "30-30" law, well, then I guess ALL dog owners should be responsible or face what happins. Quote
