Lucky Chaos Posted October 13, 2003 Posted October 13, 2003 Has anyone ever heard of this food? We were at the food store yesterday, And were looking into switching food cause Chaos has not been eating very much lately, We think its because she dosen't like Wellness, I've heard a lot of dogs get tired of it. I wanted to switch to Innova or Canidae, but they didn't carry Innova and my mom won't feed Canidae cause it gives this dog we know REALLY smelly stools. Its a Canadian food, so a lot of you might not have heard of it. The ingredients look good to me, what to you all think? It won't let me copy and paste so if you could take a look at the site, thanks :D http://petcurean.com/PDFs/go_natural_dog.pdf http://petcurean.com/product_table.html Quote
Lucky Chaos Posted October 13, 2003 Author Posted October 13, 2003 OMG! OMG! OMG! Thank you SO much K!!! Will tell my parents straight away!!!!! Quote
Lucky Chaos Posted October 13, 2003 Author Posted October 13, 2003 It said all of them were feeding batch #1631 personally I'm not willing to take a chance, but could it only be this batch? Quote
Lucky Chaos Posted October 13, 2003 Author Posted October 13, 2003 Thanks so much K, your a lifesaver (literally) :D Quote
zac850 Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 when you do change food, remmeber to do it slowly. mix in the food and then slowly take away the old food. So the first day feed 75% old food, 25% new food, on the secound day feed 50-50, on the third day feed 25% old food 75% new food, and by the fourth day everyone should be ok. This isn't deadly, it just keeps them from possibly getting the runs and/or vomiting. Good luck with the food search, tell us what you end up feeding Quote
Lucky Chaos Posted October 14, 2003 Author Posted October 14, 2003 Thats what were doing, we only bought like a 10 pound bag, and there only getting a little to start off with. But what I really hate is Chaos LOVES it. She's always been a picky eater we had to handfeed her as a puppy, but were running out of foods to feed! Any suggesstions? She dsoen't like Wellness, can't find Innova, can't feed Canidae, anything beef based gives Lucky bad stools so that rules out Solid Gold I think, and no time to prepare BARF and the only place that sells the prepackaged stuff is WAY overpriced. This is getting frustrating, it was simpler when we were ignorant to dog foods and fed Nutro. Quote
3ofakind Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 do you all have petsmart in CA?? They have a new food called Blue, it has decent ingredients and so far folks seem to like it. There is also natural balance. Good luck. I know alot of Canadian folks have trouble finding good food. Quote
Malamum Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 LOL - you should try being in Australia. :-? Good luck in your search Steph :D Quote
DogPaddle Posted October 15, 2003 Posted October 15, 2003 To bad about that batch of Go! Natural, it has wonderful ingredients. Its also more than 2x as expensive as Canidae, at least in the store near me. Quote

Well we do have a petsmart, but all the food they carry is crap. Next time we go to Global pet foods (the only place to carry decent food around her) I'll look around for Blue, or Natural Balance. DP is it really that expensive? I definately don't think we'll stick with it then. It was just so nice to find a food that finicky Chaos likes. Quote
Lucky Chaos Posted October 16, 2003 Author Posted October 16, 2003 Just realized I should have put this in Care not Health, not sure what I was thinking  Quote

This is a brand new initiative by petsmart to get into the premium market. The two foods they started carrying are Blue and Royal Canin. This only started a few weeks ago. If you haven't looked lately it might be worth another look. I saw the blue at mine today and it was not expensive at all (considering). Quote

Thanks so much cause its much easier to go to Petsmart, we were there on saturday getting toys for the dogs, and I browsed the ailes quickly but not REALLY looking. Maybe I can con my parents into driving me this weekend. Quote

Aroura Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 K, that story is terrible!!! Worst thing is, if that was human food it would have had a recall by now :-? The only kibble I would ever feed (if I fed kibble) is Eagle Pack. Can you get that where you are? Malamum, I went to this shop while I was staying in Hornsby, I was like a little kid in a huge toy store, I was so excited!!! All these foods I'd heard so much about that I've never seen before!!! They have free sample bags of Eagle Pack, which I was over the moon about... I didn't actually buy anything so I don't have a reciept to check up on what shop it was!!! It was a little "Pet Food and Accessories" shop near or in Hornsby (I had no idea where we were most of the time I was in Sydney, some one else was driving and so I didn't really care!). It had Eagle Pack, Royal Canin.... I can't remember, but there was so much more than just the Euk they sell at the pet shop here! If Hornsby isn't too far away you might want to check that out  Quote
Aroura Posted October 26, 2003 Posted October 26, 2003 13 cases, and six beloved pets died  Thats so sad, and these people were only doing what they thought was best, by buying a "good" pet food. I'm never going back to kibble  Quote
