Guest Anonymous Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 I just have to rant! There is the most handsome tomcat hanging around my house lately. He is so friendly and just beautiful. He is white with really nice silver/grey tabby patches..and he looks like he might be wearing black eye liner. He also has a broken tail or bent tail right at the very end, so I have named him "Kinx". Any way..I was walking by this house where I suspected that he lives at. And there was an woman on the porch smoking, so I asked her if it was in fact her cat. She said yes, that's "Puss". I told her he was hanging around my house all the time, and I was feeding him because he was starving! She said "Oh that's nice, but he is OUR cat" and went inside. So ok whatever..but the cat still was hanging around so I kept feeding it..sorry lady, but I am not going to let him starve. I noticed the other day that the people who own the cat were moving...ok so bye bye Kinx, right? NOPE! They left him behind. So I went and knocked on the door, in the hopes that maybe they simply couldn't find him..(yeah RIGHT) and the new tenants would know where they went. Well they told me they didn't know, and had no way of finding out. Which I doubt because they are renters. I joked and said "Well did they throw their cat in for a house warming gift?". And they were like they said that cat was YOURS! Nice hey? Quote
Lucky Chaos Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 Idiots. I HATE it when people think of animals as disposable items. Oh well he'll be much better off with you anyway. :D Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 I dont get why people bother getting pets either. I know this sounds judgemental but the lady didn't look like the type who would care about animals to be honest. She totally didn't care that I was feeding her cat, and didn't thank me either. Oh well, at least here he will be neutered!!! Fed and loved. Quote
Rowie-the-Pooh Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 I can't belive it! :x How cruel! Why is it always "the bad nieghbor next door"? I've never, so far, had a good neighbor. Except once. But that was a long time ago. Poor kitty! It's better off with you anyways! Why don't you take him to the vet to heal the brocken tail? :) Quote
DogPaddle Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 So should we congratualate you on your new cat . . . Quote
Sanvean Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 There isn't a word bad enough for people like that. Poor Kinx! I am glad he has you taking care of him now :) (Btw, we wanna see pictures!) Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 I am going to take him the vet..but I think his tail is just like that. Like it might be something that was there since birth. I will get some pictures, he is very handsome! And yes I am keeping him! :drinking: :D Quote
behle Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 :biggrina: Congratulations on adopting Kinx! You are his  Quote
Aonir Posted October 10, 2003 Posted October 10, 2003 YAY! Your such an  how dare those people do that to a poor kitty  *shakes a finger at you* and wheres the pictures?? I want to see the cute kitty! You're probably going to have to give him a kitty bath. Have the vet check him for FIV and feline lukemia.. Also for heartworms. ALSO have the vet trim his nails so you can bathe him easier lol. And flea control, your best friend! Did I miss anything? Quote
