Sanvean Posted October 9, 2003 Posted October 9, 2003 Do you remember me asking for prayers for Charlie awhile ago? He is the dog that we were discussing having to put down, because he was getting more aggressive after being kenneled. One WONDERFUL foster mom asked someone else to take her kitties on a temporary basis (Charlie doesn't like kitties) and has been working super hard with Charlie to make him more adoptable. Well, she just sent me this e-mail from a potential adopter! Hi. I was browsing petfinder.com this morning and stumbled across Charlie, the rott/dane mix. I absolutely fell in love with him and was wondering if he was still available for adoption. If he's not, please send me a note and you can disregard the rest of this email. If he is, I guess I need some more information on your adoption process. First of all, do you adopt out-of-state? I live in central Illinois (but would certainly be willing to drive up to get him). Do you require a fenced-in yard or that I own my own home? I know some rescue organizations do. Here's a little about me. My name is ****. I'm 21 years old, and a senior in Animal Sciences and Psychology at the U of ****. I have wide and varied animal background. I have loved and owned pets all my life. Currently, I have a dog and two cats that live with my parents, and 2 rats that live with me. I have worked at an animal hospital, with a keeshond rescue, at a horse barn, a dog training facility, and have also done some pet-sitting. Additionally, I have had coursework in animal nutrition, behavior, management, and physiology. I know what a huge responsibility pet ownership is, and it is something I take very seriously. I have been hoping to get a dog for a while now, and have just been waiting for the right one to come along. I know Charlie would get a lot of love and exercise (I love long walks!) as well as formal obedience training. I can't wait to hear from you. Thanks, Christina Please pray that this works out! This is Charlie, btw: http://www.petfinder.com/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=1762610&adTarget=468doggeneral&SessionID=3f8597b965d58afc-app2&display=&preview=1&row=0&tmpl= Quote
