There are special pet spot removers you can get at pet stores. Make sure you get one that also removes the scent, or the dog will continue going there. I cant think of the names right off the top, but you will be able to find them at pet stores.

The reason I ask is that I make this KILLER pine soap with the needles from my blue spruce out back.....boil em in hot water until all the resin is depleted from the needles, run it rhough a sieve to get the needles out, and then add water and mix. It has to be shaken stronlgt before you can use it, but it removes EVERYTHING....you cant use it on carpet though
so it doesnt work for doggie stains....it will actually remove the color....

the enzymes are the agents breaking down organic waste like pee, vomit etc. - that's what you want to look for in a cleaner that actually breaks down and removes any residue and scent.

oxy clean works extremely well, and so does nature's miracle.

be careful of anything that has a strong odor and just "masks" the scent instead of removing it by enzymatic breakdown. that odor may be just as attractive to your dog as the original pee stain.

i highly recommend the "spotlifter" handheld carpet shampooing machine made by bissell, it does a great job at removing stains with a minimal amount of cleaner. if your floors are all carpet, you might want to look into the bigger bissell shampooers, the battery of the handheld one doesn't last all that long.

Hi, thanks for the replies, will go to the pet shop to get some of the cleaner also will use some oxy clean. My mother-in-law has just given me her steam cleaner so will use that. We have been looking after my daughter's pup (not house trained) for 2 weeks as well as our own pup!
We also have her adult dog too. They will be back off hols in a day or two.
:) :)
