Those who cannot fast light a candel, those who can fast, fast and light a candel. We have all chosen our own dog from websites, all dogs where abused. We have named it "Memory Dogs". You are more then welcome to join in on the fun! :D -Rowie-the-Pooh  Quote

imported_nea Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 :x Today out of all days I feel rotten! I have a stupid sore throat and headache, and its just gotten worse since the morning! :x I don't want to go outside when I feel like this... :( I'll light a candle inside instead, and maybe put one on the balcony. It won't be the same, since no one will know what its for :( . Maybe tomorrow I can make it up and go outside, even if its a day late.. Quote

It's okay Nea, don't worry about it, I can totally understand. :D Even if u just light the candle, u're stil doing something honorary(sp?) :D It's 3:13 in the afternoon here, and I haven't eaten a bite since the sun came up. :D :D Two of my doggie buddies(My freind's who like dogs  ) and we ate a big breakfast of pancakes eggs and bacon. :D We ate before the sun rose, then lit our candles. :D Actually I made broshures on my comp, telling Hayley's story and what the point of Memory Dogs is. I handed them out at school. :D Most the kids I gave them to just said, aw that's so sad, and I know they'll forget, but at least I tried. Let's hope they'll think twice before buying that cute puppy in the pet shop window. I gave them out to teachers to, I think that was helpful. Most people don't even know what a puppy mill is........... Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 I lit a candle at sunrise (I assumed from abker17 post that was when you were suppose to), and I lit a candle for Reds. A Pit bull fatally stabbed to death by John Hardy, after Reds barked and pulled at John's pant leg..in order to prevent him from stabbing his wife. He had already stabbed Reds once before causing him to need 20 stitches, the second attack ended his life. http://www.pitbullregistry.com/hot_topics_in_the_news.htm And for Rahkim, I think everyone is aware of his story. God speed little ones. And I also lit a candle for Caleb, who did not pass away. Caleb is a two month old Pit bull puppy, who was found filthy, emaciated and suffering from severe injuries. He had a broken jaw, broken hip and one broken rib. The vet found he not only had new injuries he old, partially healed ones as well. He had cuts on his tiny head from being attacked by a Lab, where he lived. Only two months old and had already been through far too much. This is his story: http://www.pitbullsontheweb.com/petbull/articles/caleb.html And one for Titus, who was a Pit bull that was used for fighting. Found with his face nothing more then cuts and gashes, some filled with maggots. And his throat was cut. He was later put to sleep because his emotional scars were deep, and he was never able to recover from his mental pain he suffered after being so servely abused. His story: http://www.pbrc.net/stories/titusstory.html Quote
courtnek Posted September 27, 2003 Posted September 27, 2003 I lit four candles at dawn this morning. 1 for Alex 1 for Poppy 1 for the dog in Tennessee that got shot by the cop (who's name I cant remember, unfortunately) and 1 (two feet tall) for all the dogs threatened by BSL.... thanks Abker.
