So far she is doing really good. She is still afraid of my son (she was very timid, and the loud noise that him and 5 other male teenagers make scares her) but he has been gone this weekend, and she's opened up. She wakes me up when she wants to go out by kissing my face, she comes back usually when called (unless she's scared) and she's running and
playing in the yard with Freebee. I got pictures of her, and I'm going soon to pick them up. Then I'll TRY to get them posted, but I really have issues
with picture posting.

I got to hear her bay for the first time today. Freebee was barking at the gate, someone was walking their dog right outside my house, and she joined in and BAYED at the top of her lungs!! I have never heard that sound before, the Beagle across the street bays much differently....

It's a neat sound....It's very melodic, and the tune raises and lowers.
Like she's singing a song....

Pictures soon!! (I hope....)

:D :D :D :D

I'm so happy that your news is all good and that Laurel is feeling at home. She will get used to "the LOUD monsters" as time passes!

OH LORD!!

there is a barkfest going on - listening to Laurel baying and the beagle across the street baying is TOO funny....

They bay differently, her's is high pitched and his is low pitched, Freebee is barking her usual "dont **** with me" bark, and all the dogs in the neighborhood are in an uproar... I wonder what's going on? Probably a stranger in the neighborhood...This is not a neighborhood for prowlers, or burglers, ALL the dogs are on alert all the time...

And theres a dog every other house for two blocks, once you get past mine. Around mine, there is a dog EVERY house.....

courtnek- your girl is very pretty :) i'm glad to hear she's settling in more. you would not believe the difference in how dresden responds to me and how she responds to my eighteen year old bro....she goes nuts at the mere sight of him, all he has to do is look at her and she starts play bowing adn barking and jumping around like a maniac....laurel should get used to him in time, teenage boys have wierd effects on dogs sometimes :)
