LMAO it's so funny and gross at the same time.. is this normal??? anyone else have a drooling dog? Quote
abker17 Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003  I'd like to see a picture of that! Neither Abs or Cracker drool..... :) Quote
marion Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 Yep, Ruby drools, she sits there (not begging) while we eat and drools from the side of her mouth. It's just their mouths watering because they know they are going to get some tasty titbit. :D Rosie doesn't drool. :D She just looks at you pitifully so that you feel sorry for her and give her something. Quote
sheltielover Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 Licky drools, too! Especially when we have food...... Quote
ellieangel Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 Yup x 2 !!!! And when I'm preparing their dinner !! Quote
courtnek Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 K does...she can tell you VOLUMES about it!!!   Quote
imported_Cassie Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Talk about drool, I have 4 Newfoundland dogs...there aint a dry wall in my house! The worst thing about a Newf is they have soooo much coat especially around the neck....the drool falls down and is held in this fur...its hard to hug a Newf. I have a hard time getting ready to go out some where especially a place I have to look neat and tidy...I have gotten out places only to find a big peice of goo hanging from the back of my skirt...or once I had a big peice of goo in my hair...I did not make a good impression with that date and he never called me to ask for another date! :o the worst is I didn't know it was there and I have never had a chance to explain to him what it was.....I don't know what was my date thought it might be in my hair! :o They drool constantly...not just at meal time....and its not just normal drool...its gooby and sticky...I have actually flung some across the room and hit people with it (you have to have good aim for this trick) not many people see the humer in this game such as I do :hmmmm: Quote
Aroura Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 LMAO Cassie!!!!!!!!!   Thats just too funny, reminds me of that scene in "There's something about mary"   Yes, Lily drools... especially when she thinks there's food to be eaten!!! Pavlov should have used Boxers (or Newfs!) in his studys, they would have been alot more effective!!! When I do the dogs veggie meals in the blender as soon as Lily sees the blender coming out she starts to drool, oh, and when I'm eating in front of her? Well she lies on the floor infront of me all frog legged with her head wedged between my leg and my bed and her mouth smooshed up against me... its so cute!!! Well until she moves and my whole leg and all over the side of the bed is just one big sopping wet spot!!! Quote
behle Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Lots of drooling here! Ben makes strings of drool sometimes even though he is a relatively dry-mouthed saint. Jerry drools for food, but polite crystal clear drops, not big gobby strings like Ben! Cassie - loved your post! Our previous saint Wiley was a champion drooler....get the towel!!!...was the cry in our house when Wiley came our way. :D Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Eww!! lol glad i dont have it as bad as you guys. lol but its still gross!! haha thanks for the stories? Quote
Aroura Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 And has anyone ever noticed that there is two types of drool? There's the "I'm hungry, give me food" watery type of drool, then there's that sticky, adhesive drool that tends to carry bits of fur, dirt and sticks in it that gets wiped all over every thing  Quote
Malamum Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 LOL - Aroura, that scene from "There's something about Mary" was the first thing that came to my mind too when reading Cassie's post    I don't really have to deal with drool with Indy but his mouth definitely waters when I am getting his dinner ready. He just sits there looking up at me with his mouth open and a little puddle forming on the floor :D Quote
Horsefeathers! Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 courtnek napisaĆ(a):K does...she can tell you VOLUMES about it!!! K drools?? :P Quote
bk_blue Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Bk doesn't drool... much. Compared to our old Basset he hardly drools at all. Nobby would stand on your feet when you were eating something, two rivers of drool on each side of her mouth and drool running on your feet, or if you were lucky, beside your feet. It was gross but very endearing at the same time. Quote
mouseatthebusstop Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Yes at certain things I do...like Sushi...and cake...and stuff :banan: :banan: :banan: Quote
bk_blue Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 I think K has proven that drool can be cute. :P Quote
Angelboddy Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Nostalgia drools when I have food. It's not really drool, it's more like a leaky faucet. She drips on to the floor, after awhile there is a wet spot. Better get that leaky faucet fixed. Quote
Aonir Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 I've never really had a dog that drooled... My puppy hasn't learned the beggin trick yet either. When food drops on the floor, I RACE to get it. She doesn't need to know that pizza is yummy, spaghetti is great, and tacos are fresh! I avoid giving her human food to try and keep her from begging. Guest Anonymous Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 wow k ~~ lol that is gross!!! reminds me of the betoveen movie with the saints in it. lol yuck!! cute in it's own way i guess.!! lol i thi nk i'll stick with Cody and his 3 inches of drool and a pool at the end... you got it.. aleaky faucet is right angel!!! Quote
sheltielover Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 K napisaĆ(a):Funny thing is...I really dont find it gross at all...I know when to towel and I do it now without thinking about it really...it goes with the dogs..like hoovering 3 times a day and endless grooming sessions...and huge vet bills.. and massive muddy pawprints on everything...and having to put the dishwasher on a second time with JUST dog bowls in it...you have to accept them for the slobbery, dirty, hairballs they are...to really love 'em :D ..I could not live without my lap full of slobber 6 times a day... K, you wouldn't have it any other way would you?!? (unless of course it is to add to your dog count  ) Quote
sheltielover Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Oh they were gorgeous, weren't they?!? And the drool is an added bonus!!! Quote
