Ok Cody has a TON of extra skin on his neck, you can hold it about 3 inches off his body that's how much extra skin he has.. Zoey also has SOOOO MUCH more extra skin. It's not even funny. I've herd from many people that, that means they still have all that skin to grow in to.. if so. holy cow they are going to be HUGE! Zoey is already 70 pounds and growning, and Cody is 45 pounds and growing... GESH!!

I can hold my Rotties skin about 3 inches she is 4 and about 6 inches off my Newfoundlands necks! and they are all full grown...
some dogs are just not tight skinned and naturally have loose skin around the neck...look at the Shar Pei... alot of Mastiff dogs also have alot of loose skin.
I go by the age of the dog as to how much more growing they have to do...a large breed dog usually reaches is maximum height at around 1 year of age (give or take with different breeds) but, most large breeds do not fill out in body until they are 2 years of age....meaning the chest etc.

loose skin around the neck is normal is most dogs. It's a protective feature, it protects their throat and neck if they are atacked. The aggressor gets skin, instead of throat and spinal cord.

I wouldnt worry too much about it.

I no you are worried about the amount of skin But really its nothing to worry about. My rottie had a really think neck and most of it was skin.even thou he was a well fed dog it made no difference to the amount of skin he had round is neck. So try not to worry most dogs have it unless they are really a tight skin breed. 8)
