Dog peeing - in house!

I have a 4(?) year old chihauhua mix - rescued from the pound last year. He was bone thin but sweet. We brought him home (we have another rescued dog - Dalmatian mix), fattened him up, and have been trying to modify his behavior with little success.

He is able to hold his urine until you let him out. However, if he is forced to do something he doesn't want to do he pees - right where he is! He usually just rolls over on his back and lets it out! I am totally frustrated. Tonight I was trying to get him in his room to sleep. I was speaking to him very sweetly, I pet his head, then he peed. He moved to the bottom stair, I put my hand on his rear to move him towards his room, and he peed again!

I am so frustrated, I am getting ready to take him back to the shelter. Any suggestions? This has been going on for months! (He even peed on my babysitter's friend as she was sitting on my couch!)

Thank you.

I think it may be a behavrial problem, maybe something he experienced early in life, OR a health problem.

I say maybe you should check him out at the vet. You never know!

Sorry I am no help, both my dogs where house trained when they came here and I have had no problems!

Good Luck and Keep us updated!
